The SWAP team is already exhausted from a gazillion in meetings, catching up with long-lost relatives and planning the Go! Go! Go! SAMOA and SAMOA DAY event.
Team members have spent a furious few days meeting with the PM, STA, speaking to the Media, planning planning and more planning and are now off on a 24 overnighter to do what we call the “Tsunami Tour” meeting various village stay families in the Aleipata region.
Above photo is unique and typical of Samoa where a New Zealand based Samoan High Chief meets a New Zealand based Samoan Social Media Commentator – in the Prime Minister’s waiting room. “Hi! Who are you?” it starts and goes further to a meeting this morning in Lepa (we just happened to be going through this morning (!)) and friendships will be developed in Paradise.
The Tsunami Tour is a full day event seeing the region that was hit, the repairs and recovery work.
We’ll be having lunch with another Village Stay host and staying somewhere – who knows where at the moment! Tomorrow is TV interviews and then the Limousine launch next week . . . whew!
That’s what SWAP life in Samoa is all about . . .
