Carl currently hails from Browns Bay but has spent a life all around doing marvellous things, from Christchurch to Africa and everywhere in between. A philosopher-scientist specialising in alternative energy, Carl is "connected" if you know what we mean. We like connected people as they can share our vision with others. Of himself he says, "I’m a consultant for remote and grid connected wind, solar and water powered Renewable Energy Systems, ‘embedded generation’ systems for urban areas, including energy efficiency, solar heating, Diesel/LPG backup" – wow! For several years Carl has been aiming to develop a team capable of delivering renewable solutions, particularly for the third world and he wants to help us establish a Green R&D Unit up here. We can’t wait because . . . the third world? Well that’s us!
