Now resident in the SWAP HQ, Tony and Tara and baby Faith have already made themselves very much at home. Changes are happening all over the place . . . mostly good ones.
They have now comandeered our workshop – it’s looking more like a bedroom, so we’ve effectively lost it for construction purposes.
The food cupboard is constantly attacked by mice, birds, cats, flies, bugs, mossies but now it has to defend itself against two-legged ‘hungries’.
The Internet bill has now doubled.
The food bill has now tripled.
Handiman tasks on the TO DO list get removed from the list no sooner than they are loaded.
I’ve got to check whether the car is out or not before I charge on down to the local beach shop!
Village Stay hosts are now getting more than just a helping hand with a few materials – they are getting skilled labour to help out.
There’s no dust around the office and I can’t find anything anymore – it will be in a box or a folder or placed somewhere very logical (at least for someone else).
The landlord’s wife has someone else to yell at instead of me and her other kids.
There’s a baby crawling around my feet – I can tell you that a baby is a billion times better than bettles and bugs by your feet!
And the work is getting done – yes, it even happens when I am not here.
