A big congratulations to Matt Cooper from Wellington for scoring a stint in Samoa, courtesy of the SWAP team.
Matt is a PHP developer who rates very highly on the IQ scale (well so he ways in his CV!) as well as highly on the other scales (according to his mates, girlfriend and every other referral he paid to say great things about him!).
Seriously, Matt is a humble but experienced developer that scored the job over dozens of other very talented applicants because . . . can you get the cheek of this . . . he said that his girlfriend was a champion blogger and photographer and would come along for the ride and work her tail off for us for nothing! So clever, some of these programmers eh?
OK, So maybe the job interview didn’t quite go exactly like that, but the Matt and Kylie team will be joining us on the 22nd April for their turn of fun in the sun.
As you can see from their travel blog, these guys have already been around a bit but have yet to taste the Samoa sensation. Their wait is not long and word has it that they are pretty excited to be winging their way to paradise very shortly.
Welcome aboard Matt and Kylie – we’ve got lots of new experiences for you here – and a lot of photos, blog posts, and PHP code just waiting for you when you get here. That’s of course when you get time between lounging around in 30 degree sunshine at a 5 star resort overlooking a beautiful blue coral lagoon, and the waves crashing over the reef in the distance; and meeting the rural Samoan subsistence farmers who live off their plantations and own little more than a machete and a digging stick; and checking out the impact of the 2009 Tsunami; and . . .
